Aerospace Solid and Dry Film Lubricants
Meeting Definitive Aerospace Coating Requirements
Micro Surface Corporation applies a variety of industrial lubricant products, which can support the needs of the aerospace industry. Our advanced protective surface coatings are designed to enhance the function and longevity of components and devices used in airplanes and space shuttles.
Properties and Application Benefits
Our coatings are developed with submicron thickness and are designed to provide complete surface protection. The coatings have properties of self-lubricity, which help maintain tight tolerances on small functional devices as well as large aerospace components. They can also maintain the dimensional integrity of the substrate to 0.5 microns with tungsten disulfide. Moreover, they are designed to work in a variety of extreme temperatures ranging from -460°F to 1200°F. Our coatings can help meet the following aerospace requirements:
- Anti-galling
- Lower friction
- Wear resistance
- Dry lubrication
- Corrosion protection
- Increased hardness
- Chemical resistance
- Extreme temperature fluctuations
Wide Range of Applications
The greatest advantage of our lubricant products is flexibility. Our coatings can be applied onto entire mold surfaces or on specified inserts, cavities, and core pins. They can be applied in slots or holes that are .060 inches in size. The following are some of the popular aerospace applications where our coatings are utilized:
- Aircraft Molds
- Bearings
- Valves
- Fuel Rings
- Turbine Blades
- Fuel Connectors
- Heating Systems
- Hydraulic Systems
- Electronic Housings
- Fuel Metering Devices
- Precision Piston Rings
- Seat Belt Mechanisms
- Seal & Bearing Rebuilding
- Compartment Sealing Rings
- Emergency Oxygen Systems
- Turbine Engine Fan Components
- Latches, Pins and Hinges
Quality is the main goal when it comes to our coatings. All our products are inspected and tested to insure proper performance upon application and to ensure years of service.
Lubricants provided by Micro Surface Corporation adhere to the certification requirements of Military Spec DOD-L-85645 & AMS2530 for tungsten disulfide (WS2). Our MoS2 dry film coatings meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-46010, AMS2526, and AS5272.
